I have been doing a lot of remembering, reflecting on the past year and setting intentions for the year to come. 2025 been a challenging year; the most significant of my life so far.
In 2025, we mourned our beloved Caden and celebrated her life on August 1st, her 30th birthday. I have never felt such a profound mingling of sadness, celebration, and complete exhaustion as I experienced in the days surrounding her funeral. The love and support of those who gathered around us was meaningful beyond words. Caden, we miss you and do our best to celebrate you every day.
On August 29th, I completed my foundational training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with the School of Inner Health and was able to add this modality to my offerings at Silver Tree Therapies. Providing support to those those who are struggling from the effects of anxiety, depression, and trauma is life-affirming. It gives me great pleasure to accompany clients on their healing journey and witness them becoming healthier, more regulated humans who enjoy a greater sense of ease and a deeper connection with self and the world around them. I am inspired by their bravery.
From September 18th-October 31st I had the great privilege of walking the Camino Frances from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela, approximately 780 kilometers of mountains, meseta, and medieval cities and villages. It was the most exhilarating experience I’ve ever had. The profound simplicity of life on “the way” and the surrender and camaraderie of communal living has altered how I want to experience life moving forward. I am intent on simple living, free of avoidable stress and unnecessary complication.
A few days after returning home, I turned 50. I have never felt younger, healthier, or more full of vitality and possibilities. I am grateful for this life, these callings, and the loves that make sorrows bearable.
For 2026, my color of the year is green (moss #4B6E33) and my word is “Resilient.” My intentions are slow growth, stress resistance, and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds me.
Wishing us all a gentle, joyful 2026.
