
Why try holistic therapy?
While there is a lot of research that supports the efficacy of modalities such as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki for nervous system regulation and as treatments complementary to conventional medicine, there is not much in the way of hard science to back these claims. And if you don't believe something will help you, it probably won't. But there is a reason that these practices are becoming increasingly popular: Because they work. In my experience, those who find holistic therapies helpful are those who believe that self-healing is possible and are willing to do the work between sessions. I have witnessed remarkable things happen on the table, from trauma release and freedom from pain to life-altering realizations, but for the most part, the clients who get the best results are those who are committed to their own healing journeys and find that holistic therapies provide the support that best aligns with their felt sense of comfort and safety.
Whether through Reiki or BCST, it gives me great pleasure to accompany clients on their healing journeys and witness them becoming healthier, more regulated humans who enjoy a greater sense of ease and a deeper connection with self and the world around them. I am inspired by the bravery and dedication to self-care that I see modeled by those whom it is my pleasure to support.
