Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that supports the body's natural healing abilities, particularly within the nervous system. It works with the body's inherent health and self-regulating mechanisms, focusing on the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. Practitioners use light touch and deep listening to perceive subtle rhythms and movements, facilitating a process of reorganization and balance within the body.

Sharing the same origins as osteopathy, BCST holds forth the idea that the blueprint to optimal health is always present in the body, but is often obscured due to disturbances, disease, or trauma. In a BCST session, we seek to support the body as it sets its own priorities for healing. In addition to its efficacy as a tool for nervous system regulation, BCST can be useful in addressing challenges such as left-right imbalances, head injuries, confusion, feelings of compression or pressure, anxiety, depression, circulatory disorders, organ dysfunctions, neuro-endocrine problems, TMJ and dental problems, and trauma of all kinds.

I was motivated to learn BCST because of its impact on me as a client, helping me attain a level of nervous system regulation I never thought possible and aiding me with trauma release post-surgery. BCST has given me a new appreciation for the amazing capacity the body has for regulation and self-healing.
